4 international Nominations for Indian Filmmaker: Rohit Gupta


Indian Producer/Director Rohit Gupta's internationally acclaimed award winning and highly praised films, 'LIFE! CAMERA ACTION...' (drama-feature) & and 'ANOTHER DAY ANOTHER LIFE ' (a 4 mins thriller short) has been nominated in the 'Best Director, 'Best Screenplay', 'Best Actress' and 'Best Short Film' categories respectively at the upcoming Hot Media International Film Festival (HIMFF) 2012 to be held in Washington, DC.

The Hot Media International Film Festival is an independent competitive film festival that showcases the work of Independent filmmakers from around the globe. HMIFF was established to celebrate and provide a global platform to the achievement of independent artists.

HMIFF 2012 will be hosting its annual gala awards ceremony in the nation's capitol on March 31st at the prestigious Capitol Hilton and will be giving multiple awards. Awards range from the art of character portrayals to the artistry displayed behind the camera.

'ANOTHER DAY ANOTHER LIFE' (ADAL) has been chosen to showcase at the awards ceremony followed by live musical performances. 'ADAL' an 'Official Selection' at the 'Short Film Corner- Cannes 2009' has been also announced as the 'Official Selection' to showcase at the upcoming 10th River Bend International Film Festival 2012 to take place in April 11-14, 2012 in Indiana, US. Earlier this month ADAL additionally walked away with the 'Best Short Film' nomination at the 9thAppalachian International Film Festival held in West Virginia, US.

Written by Gupta & Amanda Sodhi, 'LIFE! CAMERA ACTION...' a 90 mins inspiring drama about a young girl's story who sets off to pursue a career in filmmaking against the wishes of her family seems to give a third wavelength to the audiences in their own personalities. LCA stars internationally acclaimed cast led by Dipti Mehta, Shaheed Woods, Noor Naghmi & Swati Kapila among others and a song sung by renowned bollywood singer KK.
