Maragatham Chandrasekhar lecture held




Centre for Media & Public Affairs (CMPA) conducted 'Maragatham Chandrasekar Memorial Lecture' on Sunday, April 29, 2012 @ 4:30 PM at Hotel Ashoka, Egmore, Chennai.

Dr Kumari Ananthan delivered a significant lecture highlighting the inspirations of Maragatham Chandrasekar and her contemporaries.

Mr V.Selvaraj IAS (Rtd) was honored with 'Maragatham Chandrasekar Award for Excellence in Social Service' by Shri Gopalkrishna Gandhi, former Governor of West Bengal.

Website on Maragatham Chandrasekar (www.maragathamchandrasekar.com ) was launched by CMPA's Senior Patron and Advocate Mr R.C.Paul Kanagaraj. Mr M.G.Dawood Miakhan, Dr T. Devanathan Yadav & Mr Pon Krishnamurthy were the Guests of Honour.

Veteran Educationists, Social Workers, Media people, Communication Professionals and numerous patrons of CMPA participated. Working President of CMPA Mr N.Thanigaimani offered welcome address. Joint Secretary of CMPA Mr K.S.Rajasekar and Vice President of CMPA Mr Shahjehan Nasir Ahamed coordinated the program.

General Secretary of CMPA Mr S.Christopher delivered the vote of thanks.
