Bank of Ceylon to expand in India
Bank of Ceylon is on expansion mode in India. It plans to open six to seven branches in South India, and one in Varanasi. A number of Sri Lankan pilgrims visit Varanasi on their way to Bodh Gaya.
“We are going places outside Sri Lanka and India is on top of our focus area,” said Dr Gamini Wicramasinghe, Chairman, Bank of Ceylon, which is the largest bank in Sri Lanka.
