MTS offers calls to US, Canada at 30 paise per minute


Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) that offers its services under the MTS brand has announced a new tariff offer 'Flat 30p for everything'. Under this scheme the MTS subscribers will be able to make local and national calls at 30 paise per minute. The bigger surprise is that even international calls to USA and Canada will be charged at 30 paise per minute. However, there is a fair usage cap of 100 minutes a month for the international calls.

Moreover, subscribers who frequently travel within India will be able to make and receive calls on roaming too at the same rate of 30 paisa/min anywhere in the country.

This new offer is open for both new and existing MTS customers and they can activate the same through a recharge voucher priced between Rs 50 to Rs 100.

On a separate note, MTS is also free access to the social networking sire Facebook for one month even on their entry level phones such as MTS Striker C121, MTS Striker C122, MTS Striker F121 etc. through MTS Planet.

Announcing the new tariff, Leonid Musatov, Chief Marketing & Sales Officer, MTS India, "It gives me immense pleasure to announce 'Flat 30p for everything' for MTS customers, a first-of-its-kind proposition in India. Under this distinctive and unmatched plan, MTS will provide all services including Local, STD, Roaming and ISD calls, SMS and Data usage at flat 30 paisa. We have specially designed this plan to provide our customers with a world class voice and data experience at the most affordable price in the market. I am confident that all our new and existing customers will find the new proposition extremely exciting."

MTS is a CDMA service provider and currently has 16 million wireless customers in its kitty.
