CNN-IBN Exposes Rampant Black Money in Bollywood




CNN-IBN news channel has blown the lid off the rampant presence and use of black money in Bollywood. The sting exposed the shocking news that top producers and directors in Bollywood use black money to fund their movies and even launder it for the investors.

A few of the big names caught in the sting include Anees Bazmi, Anubhav Sinha, Vashu Bhagnani, writer Rajeev Kaul, actress Payal Rohatgi and her boyfriend Sangram Singh, and the parents of actress Arti Chabbaria.

Popular politicians hailed the expose and some of them demanded a comprehensive enquiry to investigate the matter. A Wikileaks released cable dated 2010 says Bollywood is notorious for its association with the Mumbai underworld, gangsters, politicians and investors from the trade and construction industries who charge high interest rates. It alleges that B-Town is not shy of welcoming funds from politicians and gangsters.
